Myofascial

Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness through an effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Trigger Point Releases

Involves applying pressure with a finger or other instrument to the trigger point and increasing the pressure as the trigger point “releases” and softens.

Cupping

A cup is placed on the skin’s surface to create a vacuum. We use this technique to help relieve tightness in your muscles, remove muscle and fascial adhesions, improve qi flow by dispelling stagnation of the blood and lymph.

Gua Sha

Also known as spooning, is a treatment where a Gua Sha tool or spoon is repeatedly rubbed on specific areas of soreness or tightness to increase blood circulation and qi/energy flow, to break down scar tissue and decrease pain.  The word ‘sha’ means the red splotches or petechia that appear on the skin from the treatment. The first time you have gua sha, you may find you have significant petechia, but when you have had a few gua sha treatments, you will find the petechia becoming less and less and feel that you have more freedom in your movements.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
